SILENCE AT LAST
IS IT FOR REAL
NAP IS A SHELTER FOR THE WORDS
ARE YOU ASLEEP
AM I AWAKE
TIME STICKS ON MY FACE AND YOU LOOK LIKE A STAR
TIME STICKS ON MY FACE AND YOU LOOK LIKE A STAR
WHO WAS I BEFORE YOU
WHO WAS I BEFORE YOU
PACKED IN HER ARMS
YOUR FACE BREAKS APART
I’LL SEE YOU LATER
SHALL WE CRY
I LET MY CALLS FOLLOW YOUR VOICE
YOUR LITTLE HAND IS WAVING IN THE CAR
YOUR LITTLE HAND IS WAVING IN THE CAR
YOUR LITTLE HAND IS WAVING IN THE CAR
THE WALLS SOUND HOLLOW
I’M LOSING GROUND
I SPIN THE TOPS
UNTIL YOU COME BACK AROUND
WHO WAS I BEFORE YOU
WHO WAS I BEFORE YOU
THE WALLS SOUND HOLLOW
I’M LOSING GROUND
I SPIN THE TOPS
UNTIL YOU COME BACK AROUND
THE WALLS SOUND HOLLOW
I’M LOSING GROUND
I SPIN THE TOPS
UNTIL YOU COME BACK AROUND

2nd listen: a dream within a dream within a dream. Even if you wake up you can never be certain it's over.
1st listen: potent and soothing, graceful and deformed, long but too short. This record is large, it contains multitudes. nofatclips
This Nashville trio make ultra-catchy indie rock (in the '90s sense of the term) with taut musicianship and a freewheeling spirit. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 2, 2021

Argh, I missed them last week when they supported Spidergawd not far from me. Howver, this served as the trigger to buy their latest album.
As the predecessor's title proudly claimed, it'is Norwegian Gothic that Kjetil Nernes and his wife Karin Park deliver. Imagine Sixteen Horsepower minus the Americana ingredients but keep the obsessive tone ;-)
I find myself hard pressed to name a favorite track, so that might subject to frequent change... Carsten Pieper
